Paneer Aloo Paratha Ingredients

  • Flour – 500 grams
  • Paneer- 200 Grams
  • Potato- 300 grams
  • Ajwain- 1 tsp
  • Ginger Glove- 1 tsp
  • Chilli Crush- 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder- 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped onion- 1 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander leaves- small quantity
  • Beet salt- 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Butter- 1 tsp
  • White oil- approx

Aloo Paneer Paratha Recipe Steps

How to make potato paratha at home very easily, step by step:

Step 1: Make the flour dough

To make aloo paneer paratha recipe, flour dough must be prepared first. All you have to do is take 500 grams of flour in a bowl. You can also mix some flour with the flour if you want. Now add 1 teaspoon of ajwain. Rub it well with your hands before giving it, then you will get a nice smell. Then add 2 teaspoons of white oil and 2 teaspoons of salt to the flour.

Now mix everything well by hand and add warm water little by little to knead the dough. Let’s say at this point, while kneading the flour, don’t knead the whole water in one go. Knead the flour little by little. The dough should be kneaded very soft. Once the dough is spread, cover the dough well with a wet cloth. Leave the dough like this for at least 15 minutes. This makes the dough soft and makes perfect deep aloo paratha.

Step 2: Make potato masala

Potato is a very important ingredient for making aloo paneer paratha recipe. This potato will be used as a filling. Potato filling should be prepared for potato and paneer mixture. For this, first take 300 grams of potatoes, peel them and wash them. Then put those potatoes in a pressure cooker and cook them in the oven. Two whistles of the cooker is enough to boil potatoes. Remove the boiled potatoes from the pressure cooker and let them cool. When the potatoes are cold, you can grate the boiled potatoes with a grater, or you can mash the potatoes with the back of a glass.

Now for making aloo paneer paratha you have to mix spices in the mashed potatoes and make potato puree. For this, add 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1 teaspoon of crushed ginger, 1 teaspoon of raw chili, 1 teaspoon of chopped onion, 1 teaspoon of beet salt, salt to taste, 1 teaspoon of salt for color. 1/2 teaspoon of Kashmiri chilli powder, few chopped coriander leaves and 1/2 teaspoon of butter. Now mix all the ingredients well and mix with potatoes.

Step 3: Fill the dough with flour

Now for making deep aloo paratha recipe you have to make rounded piece from the flour dough that has been kneaded beforehand. For this, take the flour dough and make it thick like a snake. Now cut the piece with a knife and divide it. The size of piece should be kept like a ping pong ball. Once the pieces are cut, roll each ball like a ping pong ball.

Once each pieces is rounded, it’s time to fill the inside of the dough. For this, take a dough piece and cover it. Make it like a hat. So that if there is a little hole in the middle, it can be filled. When the hole is made, it has to be filled with potatoes, just like someone’s heart is filled with love. Now gently close the the mouth of the dough piece. Now the full dough piece should be made round and flat like a biscuit by gently pressing the hand. In this way, each piece should be prepared in the same way.

Step 4: Peel the potatoes

Doughs filled with potatoes should be taken out. A rolling pin is required for this. Spread a small amount of flour on it. Now take one piece and roll it with light hand.

Keep in mind while baking the paratha, as there is filling inside, do not squeeze and do not roll too thinly. This can cause potatoes to come out and not make perfect potato patties. When it is ready, keep it aside and in this way roll all the doughs into round shape.

Step 5: Fry the potato paratha

To fry aloo paneer paratha, first turn on the stove and place a plate. Wait till the chuttu gets hot. When the cooking plate is hot, a slice should be placed on the plate without adding any oil. Now heat one side well. When it is cooked on one side, flip it over and take it by pressing well on the other side.

If both sides of the paratha turn light red, you will know that it is cooked. Now with the help of a spatula, apply white oil on one side of the paratha, then turn the paratha over and apply sunflower oil on the other side as well. Here you can use ghee or butter instead of white oil. After that fry the paratha for some more time and take it out, then the hot potato paratha will be ready.
